myTA TIPs

Did you know each Dorm has a page?

In "Groups" you can navigate to your dorm page. Jeanne and Lianne have set up a basic template that you can choose to use if you would like. Please add your Dorm Parent contact list here. Adding your "On Duty" schedule is optional and can be done a few different ways. If you already have something you share with your dorm then you can link that in (Lianne can help with this if you would like). You also have the option to use the "events" block to manually put in the duty schedule which will populate the calendar on myTA.

Did you know your Advisory has a Page?

  1. Editing your advisory bulletin board is optional this year but it would be great if Advisors added a picture and a brief welcome. Parents cannot see this page yet.

  2. What's the big red exclamation mark in "missing assignments? This indicates that an assignment may be late for one of your advisees.

Why can't Students view my Grades? If you want students and Advisors to view grades in your grade book. Go to your Gradebook > Click "Display Options" > Check "Student" and "Advisor":

Outlook eMail Tips from Duane and Tim:

BCC stands for Blind Carbon Copy. Use the BCC field if you are emailing a group to prevent the "reply all" option. When you are replying to a large group make sure you are intentional when "replying all". Here is how to turn on BCC in the Outlook App on your Mac.

Here is where you find the BCC field in the web version of Outlook:
