Tabor Tech Tips Vol. 3 - myTA Gradebook

myTA Gradebook

Gradebook seems to be a hot topic right now. Thanks for asking the questions that inspired these tips. Keep the questions coming. A few things for you to know:

1. Chrome is the preferred browser to to use with myTA.

2. If you see an icon with an "A" in your gradebook this means a student was Tardy or Absent. You can click on the icon to get more details.

3. Please give Advisors permission to view students. You do this in your Gradebook by clicking "Display Options" at the top:

4. Make sure set up Gradebook to calculate grades. In Gradebook go to "Edit Setup".

5. Can I comment on a students grade on an individual assignment in myTA?

There are two options for commenting on Grades. The comment icon in Gradebook are for your eyes only. Students do not see these comments. If you would like to make a comment on individual grades that students can see here is how to do that.

Students can download the full Suite of Office 365 on their personal computers for FREE! This includes, Outlook, Word, PPT, and Excel. Here is how:

Learn to Solder and Light Things Up at This Week’s MakerLab Monday (9/25)

Where: Tabor MakerLab in Ashley House What: Basic Electronics and Soldering When: Monday from 6:30-7:30 (followed by open project time from 7:30-8:30) Who: All adults in the Tabor community welcome (faculty, staff, spouses, etc.)

We’ll cover:

  • What is soldering and how to do it

  • How to add LED lighting into a project

  • Examples of projects that add electronics to things you can make with the tools of the Makerlab

You'll leave with your very own soldered pin, a skull pin with glowing eyes to get you ready for Halloween, and ideas for other things that you might want to make.
