Teaching CAD and 3D Modeling to Elementary Students

I have had the privilege to teach an afterschool enrichment program focused on 3d modeling and 3D printing to 3-6th graders. It was so much fun, I had to share our blog. Students were able to take CAD lessons on TinkerCAD and eventually design their own 3D creations and print their models with our 3D printer. If you are interested in facilitating hands-on experience with new software and hardware to build literacy in design, 3D modeling, and programming check out Autodesk Project Ignite . It integrates some of the best web based tools such as TinkerCAD and Circuits into fun and engaging hands on lessons. Check out our MCS Tech Jammers Blog.

What some parents said about the Tech Jammers enrichment Program: "I haven't seen my child this enthusiastic about school in a long time" "Both of my kids looked forward to it every week and LOVED it!" "So great to see kids with huge, excited smiles on their faces, or kids hunched over INTENSELY focused on their work." "Totally, completely awesome." "She doesn't want it to end"
